About

Hi, I’m Nico.

I’m an engineer by trade, but outside of work I tend to spend my time fixing things, building things, breaking things (occasionally by accident), and getting out of the house whenever possible.

This blog is a mix of all of that.

You’ll find practical posts on DIY projects, homelab tinkering, motors and machines, running, and exploring Ireland — along with the odd detour into whatever else happens to grab my attention.

I started this as a way to document the things I was doing and learning, and to have somewhere to put the useful bits once I’d figured them out. If something here helps someone else solve a problem or try something new, even better.

Expect real-world fixes, straightforward explanations, and the occasional bit of randomness.

Muddy shoes. Worn tyres. Curiosity still intact.
